Key pair are Hatters doubts

Luton manager Kevin Blackwell has doubts over key duo Dean Brill and Chris Perry for the FA Cup third-round replay at Liverpool.Goalkeeper Brill - who excelled in the 1-1 draw between the sides at Kenilworth 10 days ago - picked up a thigh problem in the 3-1 defeat to Swansea on Saturday while newly appointed captain Perry was forced off in the same game with his own thigh injury.

Veteran keeper Marlon Beresford is out with a shoulder injury while the club are unlikely to be allowed to loan a goalkeeper due to the restrictions placed on clubs in administration giving Blackwell another headache. He admitted on Monday that he had "no idea" who would play in goal in the event of Brill being ruled out.

Midfielder Keith Keane partnered Perry in central defence against the Swans after the sale of Chris Coyne to Colchester and could be joined by left-back Alan Goodall at Anfield in a totally makeshift back four should Perry be ruled out.

Blackwell - who announced on Friday that he will be leaving the club on February 9 - could also face further player sales before kick-off.

Matthew Spring is again available for selection after suspension while striker Sam Parkin is in the squad and could make his first appearance since August after recovering from his ankle injury.
