Tottenham boss Juande Ramos insists England keeper Paul Robinson remains part of his plans at White Hart Lane.Robinson's future has been the subject of speculation after he was dropped from Spurs' last two games.

The 28-year-old has been replaced in the starting XI by Radek Cerny fuelling rumours over Robinson's future at Tottenham.

Ramos has played down reports that Robinson could leave saying he took him out of the firing line as he needed a rest, but refused to disclose whether or not he would feature in this week's FA Cup replay with Reading.

"Robinson will play for me again, of course, but I have not thought about Reading," Ramos told The Mirror.

"If players play too many games in a row they need a rest now and again. He played 14 or 15 games in a row and needed a rest in order to recuperate. Only one keeper can play in any one game at a time."

Meanwhile, Ramos is delighted to see Ledley King back in his side and believes the defender has a key role to play in his plans.

King has started the last three games for Tottenham after a lengthy lay-off and Ramos believes the England international is close to finding his top form.

"Little by little King is coming back to his best form," added Ramos. "He's a player with a lot of experience and when he's at his best he can contribute a lot to the team."
