Ramos Still Counts On Robbo

Mon 14 Jan, 10:09 AM

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos insists goalkeeper Paul Robinson remains part of his plans at White Hart Lane.

Robinson's future has been the subject of much conjecture having been dropped for Spurs' last two games.

The England international has been replaced in the starting XI by Radek Cerny, fuelling rumours over Robinson's prospects at Tottenham.

But Ramos has played down reports Robinson could leave, saying he took him out of the firing line as he needed a rest, but refused to disclose whether or not he would feature in this week's FA Cup replay with Reading.

"Robinson will play for me again, of course, but I have not thought about Reading," Ramos told the Daily Mirror.

"If players play too many games in a row they need a rest now and again. He played 14 or 15 games in a row and needed a rest in order to recuperate. Only one 'keeper can play in any one game at a time."
