Bundesliga - Schlaudraff needs operation

Hanover striker Jan Schlaudraff will need an operation for a nagging groin injury that will put him out of action for at least a month.
Schlaudraff said the timing was bad given the German league resumes in about two weeks' time with Hanover in 13th place, four points above the drop zone.
"We had hoped to overcome this non-surgically but now we cannot afford to lose any more time," the 25-year-old said.
The former Alemannia Aachen striker joined Hanover in the summer after an ill-fated season at Bayern Munich.
Schlaudraff has scored five goals in 14 Bundesliga games this season for Hanover.
