Cristiano Ronaldo has rubbished claims he has signed a pre-contract with Real Madrid, saying he wants to stay at Manchester United.
Fresh reports emerged from Spain on Tuesday claiming the Portugal winger will join Real in the summer after the Liga champions failed to sign him last year.
But Ronaldo's priority is to continue his success at Old Trafford.
"I know it will be hard but I want to achieve even more things with these great players we have at United," he said.
"We can dominate. Manchester has a lot of young players - myself included - so the future for the club looks good. I want to be here, to be a part of the success that I believe lies ahead.
"For me, it's great to be a part of this fantastic club and my motivation is to win more trophies.
"I'm still very ambitious. I want to carry on and repeat the success I've already had."
On Tuesday, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said Ronaldo had an obligation to stay at the club.
"We are all proud of Cristiano achieving the status he has," Ferguson said of the FIFA World Player of the Year. "But it is a two-way street.
"The player must have the personal ambition, the desire and drive to succeed.
"But he also owes a lot to Manchester United for nurturing and encouraging him in the proper way at the right times."

gus h and lil-beckzi come up for air.Ronaldo is without doubt
the best player. You have both shown you're ignorance on the
subject-football.Muppet's
im glad that you want to stay ronaldo and keep on turning down those real madrid offers because you want be the same player playing with them
Ronaldo you are the most valuable player in the whole world, you are a great player indeed and your contribution to the red devils is of great is highly appreciated.Dont go to Real Madrid where your talent would be obstructed like that of other player like David Beck ham. They will use you and dump you i bet you your future lies in Man United because they have great players who can deliver ant time. You are the world best player no thought.
real madrid seriously seem to have some type of problem with having presidents with an iq higher than 50 if ronaldo wants to stay he'll stay if he wishes to go and sir alex allows it he will go
He's so pragmatic and so upheld. He's so afraid to leave cos he'll feel betrayed Sir Alex after all that(what) he did for him. Please don't judge the boy. He's too young to make his own decision.
comment 64 was it his ego that scored over 40 goals last season?
I think he owes United 2-3 more seasons, he is only young, he can go to Real when he is 27 and have at least 5 years with them!
Can't you people see he and united are simply the best in the world. league champions, champions league champions oh my God, you name them.
sorry but he was best player in the world last year! messi better by miles, a real team player who loevs playing and loves his team not a big headed, egaotistical @#$% who thinks he is a slave!!! only thinks of one thing! himself!
comment 61.
world player of the year is nothing, its just a title.
his ego is the only thing that has got him somewhere, not his soo called skills
united aint useless brats they have finally became the best club in the world thanks to many world class players
Atleast hes finally grown some balls.
is there many people hating on him because he was named world player of the year?? Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldo, may your skills keep us winning more than those other jealous teams who do not have you! Hate him or love him, best player in the world.
alan.brewster1965 that comment just shows how dumb you realy are. you are a world class dik

good man ronaldo, hope your telling the truth.i feel sorry for arsenal, liverpool, chelsea, barca, inter, madrid and all them average teams.ronaldo, rooney, tevez, berbatov, vidic, nani, anderson ,ferdinand, evra, giggsy, sheasy the utility man himself goals-striker!
Ahhh the poor chap has worked out if he moves, no one will actually pay him more than his current contract now the financial market has crumbled... so suddenly he's happy to stay at Man U .... Don't be fooled my cries of loyalty it's just £££££ and only £££££!!! Mercenary %&^&^%%!
