Cristiano Ronaldo has rubbished claims he has signed a pre-contract with Real Madrid, saying he wants to stay at Manchester United.
Fresh reports emerged from Spain on Tuesday claiming the Portugal winger will join Real in the summer after the Liga champions failed to sign him last year.
But Ronaldo's priority is to continue his success at Old Trafford.
"I know it will be hard but I want to achieve even more things with these great players we have at United," he said.
"We can dominate. Manchester has a lot of young players - myself included - so the future for the club looks good. I want to be here, to be a part of the success that I believe lies ahead.
"For me, it's great to be a part of this fantastic club and my motivation is to win more trophies.
"I'm still very ambitious. I want to carry on and repeat the success I've already had."
On Tuesday, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said Ronaldo had an obligation to stay at the club.
"We are all proud of Cristiano achieving the status he has," Ferguson said of the FIFA World Player of the Year. "But it is a two-way street.
"The player must have the personal ambition, the desire and drive to succeed.
"But he also owes a lot to Manchester United for nurturing and encouraging him in the proper way at the right times."

yes stay there u ferrari wrecking idiot ! i dont think any team needs a money grabbing player that wants to really be in madrid ..when in facr madrid dont need u .....hopefully when greater mancheser police look at ur video of ur fancy footwork on wilmslow road ,theyll deport u anyway !!!!!!!!!!!! stick with the red manc scum ,@#$% smells better kept in one plae anyway !
HE WANTS TO STAY ON RIGHT CLUB .... COMMON
UNITED ....UNITED UNITED UNITED UNITED
I just hope all the accolades do not get into his head. Ronaldo is a great player but being frist is the easiest. Staying first will be more difficult. He is already struggling to repeat his performance of last season. But he is lucky he has got talented and dedicated teammates who would fight hard for the ManU cause. Whether he is going or staying may soon be irrelevant because this has happened before and ManU has always been able to find an equivalent replacement.
If those jealous russian mafia types that took over at the bridge cant keep thier so called superstars in form then they do have tried and tested ways of eliminating the problem....plutonium tea anyone?
i hope he will stay at United and won't go to real.my favourite spanish team is real madrid and they are the best without ronaldo. he is a good player but i can't stand him. and the premier league's best is fernando torres
Mike S, have you actually watched a United game in the last 4 years? He doesn't even do the step over that much anymore. Great dribbling skills even without the step over, great in the air, wicked shot and lets not forget those thunderbolt free kicks.
city should buy beef curry an stick him in a large chicken wrap.. but ronaldos adams apple is massive as volcano on a dinghy in a southport boating lake but hey mancs stink cockneys eat eels an three girls sing sheilas wheels.. oo black betty ban ber lan
i tried 2 comprehend but i cud nt, all i can i hear from heaven is stamford bridge is falling down, faling down , falling down..... oops ! angels sing nursery rhymes...
Good player but he still dives and goes down to easily , once he sorts that out then he will be world class.
Not sure how genuine he is about wanting to stay at Man Utd , if he wants to leave get rid of him for theright money , there will always be someone else to take his place
vlf126, I can name few: Lampard, Gerard, Ronaldo.. They are all greedy but not little
Hey stevejones10001977 name one player in the prem that is not a greedy little fcuker..
Ronaldo is one of the most skilled players in the premier league...
I've never seen any one dive as quickly or as convincingly as him.
Throw that in with the fact that he only has 1 actual skill... the step over..
chelsea who? ohh the ones we thrashed 3-0 lol plonker
Do us a favour fergie let him go ' weve all had enough of the diving cheat ' or are you hoping to keep him until he wins the Driver OF THE YEAR AWARD ' WELL TRUST ME IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN , HE'S A DANGER TO OTHER ROAD USERS , HE NEED'S A CAR HE CAN HANDLE , A FORD KA ,
PETE NO1 GARDENER
there is not enough for him this year? come on champions league goal slash what? 39+ complete goals is bad...messi was not playin as much last season. this season is dif.... he wont get it so messi will if Argentina will win some games .
Ben C I think I heard Chelsea fans saying that they would win this season
Glory, glory, glory Man utd
madelphine16, you know as well as I know that this is one big media circus in the end. The bottom line is, who gives a damn about them?
@#$% u fergie once u retire man u aint getting a trophy for years maybe a uefa cup but thats about it hahahaha
