Fri, 13 Jan 20:00:00 2012

Robby Gordon won the 12th stage of the Dakar rally cars race as Stephane Peterhansel saw his lead trimmed.

2012 Dakar Stage 10 Hummer Gordon - 0

Frenchman Peterhansel lost 15 minutes as he got stuck in sand dunes, leaving him seventh on the stage and cutting his overall lead to 20 minutes over Nani Roma.

Gordon's superb drive saw him win the stage by 15 minutes eight seconds over Russia's Leonid Novotskiy, with Giniel de Villiers third a further seven minutes back. De Villiers retains third place in the overall standings, over an hour behind Peterhansel.

Gordon, who is only racing under appeal, is still nearly one and three quarter hours off the leader's pace after being hit by mechanical trouble earlier in the week.

  1. The French run their Auto Races like their Bike Races. If an American wins accuse them of cheating. Remember Lance Armstrong

  2. Peterhansel runs over a motorcycle riding knocking him and his bike in the water and is not penalized. Gordon runs the same air inflation system for 5 years and is disqualified. Same in bikes, Cyril gets stuck in the mud and they give him his time back while Coma rides through the same area doesn't get stuck and get's no advantage. Not sure why the organizers want to run this like a back yard sport, but it's no world class event. Cool place to have race too bad they aren't having one.MST

  3. You stupid no culture brats, you were conquered and ruled by froggies, not long ago the official language for educated people and ruler in england was the french language.

The englanf language uses french words ... you were dominated and still are by french culture ... so live with it.

For Monaco it is a state of it's own, different passport, and you will find more english then french leaving there ... for fiscal reasons.

For the war please take the time to thank the yanks or not only your king and queens would be german but also your new language.

  4. As much as I like Robbie Gordon as a driver - I HATE THAT FLUCKING HUMMER !!! Only the Americans could construct such a massive gas guzzling pig ugly moving environmental disaster. BAN HUMMERS throughout the world

  5. @Trevor - Monte Carlo is a STATE on its own. Yes its another froggy speaking supported backed posh toffs place where money drips like a heavy shower. Yes the froggies did c huck the mini of Rauno Altinen (Finland) out on a technicality. More recently in F1 they managed to get a driver to crash his car to give his team mate the chance to win. I hate the froggies. Cant win anything especially a war!!! Designed the Common Market for the Germans to financially control it - and so everyone would speak French. What happened ? The germans are losing it AGAIN and no one speaks french - lol. French cars SUCK big time. Things fall off, the break down and worst of all they are the most expensive to service and repair.
