Sheffield Wednesday boss Gary Megson felt his players were below par after they lost their unbeaten home record with a 1-0 defeat to leaders Charlton at Hillsborough.
Addicks skipper Johnnie Jackson scored the only goal, curling a first-half free-kick into the top right-hand corner, and Megson now believes Charlton will go on to win the League One title.
`I thought it was a bit of a nothingness from us. We put five things up on the board before every game and one of those is to make sure we score the first goal,' said Megson. `I don't think they were any different to us before the first goal went in, it was a fantastic strike.
`But then I thought a lot of our players, individually, were probably maybe 10 or 15 per cent down. I thought Ben [Marshall] was nowhere near as good as he can be but he's got a lot going on. [Jose] Semedo's playing against his old team and I didn't think he was any near his usual standard.
`Mike Jones [on debut] wasn't at the level that I expected, along with nine of our other players - I thought Chris O'Grady worked very hard though.'
Megson added: `I think it's [the result] significant in terms of who'll win it because I think they will but there are two places for promotion. Whoever finishes above them will be a magnificent side.'

Cheers rodders but at least I appear to have one
El Monte = Brain Dead
But your a MASSIVE team with a MASSIVE stadium & MASSIVE fans ??? not my thoughts exactly ;)
Yep, pretty disappointing, once that goal went in we looked a different team and just couldn't cope with Charlton's style of play. They soon cottoned on to the 'long ball' we play, stifled it and then we weren't good enough to try something different.
But hey we lost one nil to the top of the league lets not start writing us off just yet.
gary megson tells it like it is, they need to step up when its a big crowd, were not dominating against the top teams
