Scunthorpe defender Izzy Iriekpen will return to the Iron squad for Friday's trip to face promotion-chasers Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.Iriekpen, a summer signing from Swansea, has made only seven appearances for the Iron this season due to a succession of injuries.

The 25-year-old came through his comeback match for the reserves in midweek unscathed following knee surgery and could play some part at the Britannia Stadium.

But full-back Cliff Byrne will miss out after taking a knock to the same leg he fractured against Stoke back in November.

On-loan Liverpool defender Jack Hobbs is expected to fill in for the Irishman.

Manager Nigel Adkins has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side look to climb off the bottom of the table with their first away win since Boxing Day at Preston.
