Under-fire Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson is backing his former club West Brom to gain automatic promotion from the Championship. The Baggies dropped out of the top two for the first time in three months as a result of their 1-1 home draw with the Blades on Tuesday.
That followed on from the 2-1 reversal at Barnsley which current manager Tony Mowbray branded as "unacceptable."
But Robson, who is currently having talks in Brussels with United plc chairman Kevin McCabe over his own future, is confident Albion will be promoted.
The former England captain said: "Albion play good football and always look likely to score goals. You are always going to get a bit of a blip and that is what they have gone through in the last couple of games.
"But they also have the ability to go away and win matches as well as at The Hawthorns. I think they still have a good chance of automatic promotion."
