Charlton chief Peter Varney claims Alan Pardew's desire to move the away fans from behind one of the goals at The Valley is unworkable.Addicks boss Pardew feels the travelling support being allocated the entire Jimmy Seed stand gives the away team an advantage and would rather have home fans situated there.
But Varney told the club's official website: "I understand where people are coming from, because it's an old stand and the acoustics are very good.
"If the away team is doing well, a lot of noise seems to come from that end, but at the moment it's not possible to move away fans elsewhere for all sorts of reasons.
"If you put away fans into another stand, it just doesn't work logistically."
