Everton grabbed two second-half goals to put one foot into the last 16 of the UEFA Cup against SK Brann.
The first-leg triumph was clinched through strikes from Leon Osman and substitute Victor Anichebe.
Everton slowly took control of the match and eventually made themselves strong favourites to complete the job in next Thursday's second leg at Goodison Park.
