League One - Dalglish set for Leeds

League One outfit Leeds have handed a trial to former Scotland Under-21 international striker Paul Dalglish.

Dalglish, who has featured for Hibernian, Livingston, Blackpool, Norwich and Newcastle, spent last season in the MLS with Houston Dynamo.

Dalglish, 30, son of Liverpool legend Kenny, played the full 90 minutes alongside new signing Anthony Elding for Leeds reserves on Wednesday.

The Whites beat Rotherham 3-0, but Dalglish failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
