QPR took advantage of their two-week break by flying to the Algarve for a warm-weather training camp.
The Barclays Premier League strugglers do not play this weekend following last month's FA Cup exit and manager Mark Hughes decided to take the squad away for a week.
The club were unable to train at their Harlington headquarters during the cold snap and spent most of last week at Loftus Road.
Hughes told www.qpr.co.uk: "We're going to Portugal to get some work done because we're struggling at our training ground.
"We have had to train at the stadium and we need to give that a break.
"It will give us the opportunity to have a couple of sessions a day and have a real understanding of what type of personalities we have and how they react to situations."

superhoopsteve, we come on your page cos QPR priks come to ours to give abuse, so get fukin used to it.
PS looking forward to celebrating QPRs relegation at end of season, big big party.
Superhoop Steve is right, pensioners like Chelsea only sprout off when the're loosing. They want to get their own house in order, before slagging other teams off. Anyway by the end of next week, when they are out of the fa cup, 2 or 3 goals down in the first leg of the champions league, we can all go on their page and laugh at them. lol Europa cup next year, MAYBE, HA HA. COME ON YOU RRRRRRRRs
does anyone else find it quite strange when chelsea fans come on a qpr page and comment. It is probably the only place they can get intelligent comments but perhaps with only two wins in ten and idiotic hopes of a champions league place you ought to concentrate on your own team.
I think QPR have a good team easily capable of staying up. like born to run said we need to put the pieces in the right place. Qpr in places showed they can play very well. If we can do that for 90mins no bad lucj someone is in for a thrashing!! Come on QPR now a 7 point gap but i would be happy to finish 16th.
Let's face it Ranger's,weve been having a pretty a pretty torrid time of late, but don't worry about critic's from the Media, cause we know you can open up the gate,
Barton can lead by example if he put's down his twitter,as a team we will flourish and bloom, like the changing of season's we'll see changing of QPR,Let's win every game starting soon.
All 3 comments below me dont make any sense because the past is the past and what happens the next few games will decide our fate. Its obvious to anybody that has a clue about Football that QPR have no team chemistry right now with all the new faces and if Hughes cannot get the right pieces playing together we are doomed. They need this practice to get the best 11 and the correct formation going into the Fulham game which is a must win and the warm weather is the best place for this work IMO.Its hard for any QPR fan to blame Hughes because his top Players are playing like dogs and the system is broken so he will have to earn his pay right now .
would have thought staying put to toughen up for the task ahead rather than going on a jolly to portugal i supose mark knows best
They deserve a holiday before the shock of going back to places nice and cold and wet next winter, places like Barnsley and Peterborough. Hughes wont be going though cos he will walk and blame the chairman or the players or something...........
well done lads, no wins in last 3 so we will take yous on a nice holiday in the sun.bl@@dy pathetic.
