Coyle calls for final flourish

Fri 14 Mar, 06:00 PM

Burnley boss Owen Coyle has demanded his players finish the season in style and clinch a play-off place. The Clarets head into Saturday's home clash with Wolves just one point adrift of the top six.

And Coyle believes it is time for his side to hit top form and completing the double over Mick McCarthy's men would be the perfect way to build on Tuesday's win over Charlton.

"I think the top four will finish in the top four positions," said Coyle.

"So I think we've probably got eight teams vying for fifth and sixth place - and we're in there fighting.

"We have to make sure we're at our best and if we do that we've got as good a chance as anybody. Now is the time to stand up and be counted, but lets show it on a consistent basis."
