Grayson: We need our discipline

Fri 14 Mar, 05:00 PM

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has urged his players to keep calm during Saturday's derby clash with local rivals Preston.Grayson is well aware of the significance of the game at Bloomfield Road to both teams, but has stressed the importance of a disciplined approach.

"The players are fully aware of what the games means to everybody but they've got to play with their head as well as their heart," said Grayson.

The Seasiders ran out 1-0 victors at Deepdale when the sides clashed in December and Grayson is wary of a North End backlash.

"We took the bragging rights at Deepdale earlier in the season and I'm sure Preston will be looking to do the same against us on Saturday," he added.

"They've had some great results over the last few weeks, home and away, so we fully know what it's about. But if the players play to their capability and we've got the atmosphere, it makes for a cracking day."
