Out-of-favour Leeds defender Matt Heath has joined Championship side Colchester on an initial month-loan loan deal at Layer Road.Heath was Dennis Wise's second signing at Elland Road but has fallen out of favour under Gary McAllister, making just one appearance under the new Whites manager.

Heath has signed on at Layer Road until April 12 and the deal could be extended until the end of the season if he impresses for the Us.
