Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore is boosted by the return of midfielder Steven Jennings for the visit of Hartlepool to Prenton Park.Jennings returns to action following a three-match ban for his dismissal in the 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers at the end of last month.
Moore will be without defender Ian Goodison once again, but has been boosted by the news that he will be back in action sooner than expected.
The centre-back was set to be on the sidelines for around six to eight weeks after suffering the injury against Oldham last weekend, but scans have shown he could be back in a fortnight.
Winger Chris Shuker made his long-awaited return from a knee injury for the reserves in midweek and is still lacking match fitness but may be on the bench.
Striker Craig Curran is a doubt with flu, while winger Steve Davies is still a long-term absentee with his knee injury.
