McNaughton wait for Bluebirds

Fri 14 Mar, 12:30 PM

Cardiff manager Dave Jones looks set to be without defender Kevin McNaughton for Saturday's Championship trip to face bottom side Colchester. The full-back was forced off in the first half of Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Hull with a hamstring problem and is set to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury.

McNaughton was replaced by fit-again winger Joe Ledley, who made a surprise return against the Tigers. Ledley has now fully recovered from a hamstring problem and is vying for a first-team berth.

Another player to make his comeback from injury was Warren Feeney, who came on as a 90th-minute substitute at Ninian Park following an ankle problem and the striker will again be in contention.

Jones must decide whether to hand a recall to teenage midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who was rested for Wednesday's 1-0 win over Hull but could return against Geraint Williams' men.

Robbie Fowler (hip) is the Bluebirds' only long-term absentee.
