No new worries for Railwaymen

Fri 14 Mar, 12:01 PM

Crewe first-team coach Steve Holland is expected to choose from an unchanged squad for Saturday's trip to relegation rivals Gillingham.Forward Nicky Maynard made his return from a hamstring injury as a substitute in the surprise midweek defeat to Port Vale and will hope to have done enough for a promotion to the starting line-up.

Another player who came off the bench in the second half was midfielder Gary Roberts after being left out for disciplinary reasons and he too is pushing for a starting role.

The man he replaced, Steven Schumacher, should again be in contention after missing last weekend's draw with Nottingham Forest.

A thigh injury will again rule out Julian Baudet, while Shaun Miller is still struggling with an ankle problem.

Long-term absentee Billy Jones remains sidelined with a knee problem and Neil Cox (shoulder) and Ben Rix (hip) are recovering from recent operations.
