Defender Marcos Painter is expected to make his long-awaited return to the Swansea squad for the trip to Northampton after a hamstring injury.Painter has been sidelined since the end of February but is poised to return and could earn an instant recall to Roberto Martinez's side.
Painter's defensive team-mate Garry Monk, meanwhile, is expected to remain sidelined with the back problem which has forced him to sit out the last three games.
Dennis Lawrence suffered no ill-effects on his return to the side in the 1-1 draw with Tranmere in midweek after overcoming a knee injury and should continue in defence while midfielder Paul Anderson (hamstring) and Andrea Orlandi (knee) remain ruled out.
