Tottenham will use the remaining 10 games of their Premier League campaign to build for next season, according to assistant boss Gus Poyet.Spurs are virtually safe from relegation, and European football has been secured following the Carling Cup triumph at Wembley, giving a perception of there being little to play for.
However, Poyet wants momentum to take into the 2008-09 season, while players are determined to impress head coach Juande Ramos ahead of the planned summer changes to the squad.
They will get another chance to put their case forward this weekend at Manchester City.
Poyet said: "The target for us now is that we keep improving and that means we have to win as many games as possible.
"We are going to start building for next season starting with Sunday."
