Darlington boss Dave Penney has been dealt a blow ahead of the Grimsby clash after losing the services of striker Kevin Gall.Gall has been recalled by parent club Carlisle due to a lengthening injury list at Brunton Park.
Goalkeeper David Stockdale has now overcome a back problem and should retain his place in Penney's starting XI against the Mariners.
Stockdale played through the pain barrier in Tuesday's goalless draw at Shrewsbury and has since returned to full fitness.
Penney, meanwhile, has no new injury problems to contend with and could again keep faith with Ian Miller in central defence. Miller kept his place at the expense of Alan White against the Shrews after the latter was available again after completing a four-match ban.
Tommy Wright was recalled to the side in midweek and may retain his place. Tim Ryan and Clark Keltie (both knee) continue to miss out for Quakers, who are bidding to secure a third straight home win.
