Frank Rijkaard remains confident in Barcelona's Primera Liga title chances, believing he has the best squad on the planet at his disposal.Treble-chasing Barca slipped eight points behind pacesetters Real Madrid at the summit following last weekend's home loss to Villarreal, but with 11 games remaining - including a trip to the Bernabeu to play Madrid - there is plenty of time to turn things around.
"We can recover. We need the confidence of the fans. We always play how we want to - looking to attack, but unfortunately there are always league games like that (the Villarreal loss)," said Rijkaard on Spanish radio station RAC 1.
"This is the style we play in and it is the way everybody enjoys the most. This is Barca's style and we need to be proud of it."
Barca have had to endure plenty of negative press this season, including speculation regarding Rijkaard's position as coach and the form and future of playmaker Ronaldinho.
But with his side also in the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, Rijkaard knows Barca's current situation will be the envy of most clubs and he has total faith in both his squad and Ronaldinho.
"Ronaldinho will return to be the best in the world. And also, for me, Barcelona have the best squad in the world," said Rijkaard.
The Barca coach also commented on the situation regarding Thierry Henry, who admitted on Wednesday he was having personal problems and struggling to adapt to life at the Nou Camp because he is missing his two-year-old daughter Tea.
"I spoke with Thierry some months ago. Now he has seen his daughter and he is a little more calm. This is a situation which he must resolve. It is his private life," Rijkaard said.
"When he needs help, he can count on me. It has taken a lot for him to admit that he is suffering, he wanted to continue in order to help out his team-mates. This is a good mentality, but we know that he suffers."
Rijkaard also feels there is much more to come from the much-vaunted triumvirate of Samuel Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Henry.
"I have still not seen the best that those three can give due to various reasons, but what is more important is that from now they help the team with their strokes of genius because the squad is the most important thing," Rijkaard said.
