Robins pair in race to face Carlisle

Fri 14 Mar, 01:45 PM

Swindon Town manager Maurice Malpas will hand late fitness tests to two of his players for the visit of high-flying Carlisle United.Chris Allen picked up a knee problem in the midweek defeat against Leyton Orient while a dead leg has sidelined Michael Pook in recent weeks and the pair will be assessed prior to the game to determine their availability.

Fulham midfielder Michael Timlin could start after joining the club on loan for the rest of the season.

Suspended duo Billy Paynter and Lee Peacock will serve the second games of respective two and three-game bans.

Christian Roberts is certain to miss out with a knee injury, as does Pat Kanyuka, who is likely to be sidelined for several weeks with a thigh complaint.

Barry Corr (shoulder) remains another of Malpas' injury worries and the game will come too soon for the forward.

Jamie Vincent was an unused substitute against Martin Ling's side following his return from a groin problem and will hope for a recall.
