Defensive duo Wayne Brown and Andy Dawson are both injury doubts for Hull's home clash with Southampton in the Championship on Saturday.Brown limped out midway through the first half of Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at Cardiff with a calf strain, while Dawson picked up a knock in the same game to leave boss Phil Brown sweating on the fitness of the pair.

Brown, however, could be boosted by the return of striker Dean Windass.

Windass is closing in on full fitness after missing the last seven games with a knee problem and could bolster Brown's attacking options against the Saints.

Midfielder Nick Barmby (groin) continues to miss out while Caleb Folan and Jay-Jay Okocha serve the final game of their three-match bans.

The Tigers play host to the Saints bidding to secure a third successive win at the KC Stadium.
