Grand Slam-chasing Wales boast three of the six shortlisted players for the RBS 6 Nations player of the tournament.

Dazzling winger Shane Williams, who has scored five tries in Wales' four victories, currently leads the way with 50% of the public vote.

Williams is joined on the list by scrum-half Mike Phillips and captain Ryan Jones, who lifted the Triple Crown last weekend following Wales' 16-12 victory in Ireland.

Scotland scrum-half Mike Blair, Italy captain Sergio Parisse and France winger Vincent Clerc are the other nominees.

The voting on the official tournament website, www.rbs6nations.com, runs until March 17.
