India's Karun Chandhok was quickest at Paul Ricard in the penultimate day's testing before the opening of the 2008 GP2 Season.

The iSport International driver was the fastest in the morning in 1:12.717 in windy conditions while Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado set the quickest lap of the afternoon in 1:12.790.

Behind the Venezuelan were Javier Villa and Romain Grosjean as the top five places were taken by five different teams.

Just one week after testing in Barcelona, the 13 GP2 teams are meeting for two last days in Le Castellet.

On Thursday, the track configuration will be switched to the short 2D version (3.586km) in preparation for the third round of the Championship which will take place in Monaco.
