Britain's last UEFA Cup representatives, Rangers, have drawn Sporting Lisbon in the quarter-finals while the conquerors of Everton and Tottenham will play each other.
Walter Smith's side reached the last eight with a 2-1 aggregate win over Werder Bremen, and now face Sporting, who on Thursday laboured to a 1-0 victory over a virtual reserve Bolton outfit.
Should the SPL leaders see off the Portuguese side, they will face either Fiorentina or PSV Eindhoven. The pair won penalty shootouts against Everton and Tottenham respectively on Wednesday and now play each other.
Competition favourites Bayern Munich received a favourable draw against Getafe, possibly the weakest side left in the competition, while fellow Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen play Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg.
