Hull boss Phil Brown believes his side are now firmly in the running to secure an automatic promotion place in the Championship.The Tigers travel to Yorkshire rivals Barnsley on Tuesday well aware victory at Oakwell, coupled with a Wolves win over West Brom on the same night, would see Brown's boys claim top spot on goal difference.

"If you'd said to me at the start of the season that with four games to go, a win at Barnsley on a Tuesday night would take you into the top two, I'd have taken that," said Brown.

"I think any manager in the Championship would have taken that scenario."

Defender Sam Ricketts, meanwhile, believes the scramble for promotion could go right down to the wire.

"I think four or five teams may think they have a chance of automatic promotion on the last day of the season," said Ricketts.
