West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand looks set to miss the rest of the season through injury after limping off in Saturday's defeat at Bolton.Ferdinand was forced off after just two minutes of the 1-0 defeat at the Reebok Stadium with a hamstring problem.

The talented defender is now set to undergo scans on the injury to find out the full extent of the strain.

But Hammers boss Alan Curbishley expects to be without Ferdinand for the rest of the campaign.

"It looks like Anton will be out for the rest of the season," Curbishley told The Mirror.

"His injury just sums up the kind of problems we have been having.

"It was a blow for us so early in the game.

"But we just have to get on with it."
