Hall hopeful over new Coventry deal

Mon 14 Apr, 06:00 PM

Long-serving Coventry defender Marcus Hall is hopeful of agreeing a new contract with his home-town club next week. The 32-year-old, who has spent 11 years of his professional career with the Sky Blues, is one of only a handful of players out of contract in the summer that manager Chris Coleman is keen to keep at the Ricoh Arena.

"I hope to sort out my terms next week. I had a brief chat with the chairman on Thursday and will hopefully be sitting down with him next week," Hall told the Telegraph.

"Hopefully it will be pretty straight forward and hopefully I can get a year with an option (of another year).

"I am realistic enough to know that at my age it would be difficult to get anything more than that, and I also know that I will probably be more of a squad player next year."
