Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson is hoping that the hamstring injuries which have caused disruption to his season so far are behind him. After returning to action against Tranmere and grabbing a goal for his side, Tyson revealed a steroid injection into his spine had given him a major fitness boost.

He told the club's official website: "I've had this spasm problem in my hamstring but hopefully the injection has done the trick.

"It certainly felt good at Tranmere but we'll just have to see how it goes over the next week or two."

Forest virtually secured their play-off place with the 2-0 win at Prenton Park and Tyson was relieved to have come away with the three points.

with a 2-0 Tyson also revealed his delight at taking all three points from the trip to play-off rivals saying: "I ended up with a fat lip and sore face because it was a tough game but that's nothing and it was great to come away with all three points."
