Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock has striker Peter Halmosi back in contention for his side's trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Monday night.

The Hungarian had been a doubt after missing the home defeat to Charlton last week with a knee injury but should be fit to face Sturrock's former club.

Defender Marcel Seip will not make the trip to face the Owls after being slapped on the transfer list following his refusal to be named as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat to the Addicks last Saturday.

The Dutchman is also due to miss the remainder of the Pilgrims' season because he needs a hernia operation.

Striker Jamie Mackie could be in line for a recall to the squad, while fellow striker Rory Fallon (ankle) and defender Mat Doumbe (hamstring) are also hopeful to feature.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws has a doubt over combative midfielder Graham Kavanagh.

The on-loan Sunderland midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during the draw with former club Stoke last weekend and could miss out against the Pilgrims.

However, Laws will be hoping club captain Lee Bullen is fit to feature after making his comeback from a hamstring injury for the reserves during midweek.

The Owls will also have Mark Beevers and Franck Songo'o available after shaking off minor knocks.

Laws faces a selection headache as he looks to guide his side out of the relegation zone, and will choose two of either Deon Burton, Ben Sahar and Bartosz Slusarski in attack.

"Every game is a cup final for us now and we have to take each match on its own merits. The message I want to send to the supporters is that we should not panic," Laws told the club's official website.
