Macclesfield manager Keith Alexander has given the club a boost by signing a new deal which will keep him at Moss Rose for the next two years.
Alexander took charge in February following the departure of Ian Brightwell and has guided the Silkmen to four wins in his first nine games at the helm.
"I have really enjoyed my time here and I'm happy to sign," said Alexander.
"The players have responded well to my management and I expect to be challenging at the other end of the table next season."
Macclesfield are currently 19th in the League Two table, seven points ahead of Mansfield, who occupy the second and final relegation spot.
