A round-up of what the golfers said at the conclusion of the Masters in Augusta.

GOLF 2008 - Trevor Immelman and Brandt Snedeker at the Masters, Augusta National Golf Club - 0

Trevor Immelman (-8) on his win: "This has probably been the ultimate roller-coaster ride, and I hate roller-coasters. From the age of five when I picked up the game, I just fell in love with it and it's all I wanted to do. Obviously this is a tremendous confidence boost, and now that I know that I have got one under my belt, all I can do is go out there and prepare well for the majors from now on, and just try my best."

Tiger Woods (-5) on second place: "I just didn't quite have it this week. I just didn't make any putts all week. I definitely hit the ball well enough to contend, I hit it well enough to put pressure on Trevor but I just couldn't make any putts. You have good weeks and bad weeks and this certainly wasn't one of my best. I learned my lesson there with the press, I'm not going to say anything [about a grand slam]."

A tearful Brandt Snedeker (-4) on his week in the spotlight: "I went from extreme highs to extreme lows and that's what you don't want to do around here. It was just a rough day out there. It's hard to put that much effort into something and get so little out. But it's just part of life, part of growing up. That is something I'm very proud of, and also to be coming back here next year. Hopefully we won't end up here in tears all over again. I have no clue why I am so emotional. I was laughing outside and I'm crying in here."

Phil Mickelson (-2) on his improvement at Augusta: "I've been playing practice rounds sporadically for some time now, so it's already in the back of my mind. Growing up there, that tournament means a lot to me, living in San Diego, playing high school matches there at Torrey. I've been out there a bunch and I've been thinking about it a lot. I thought that I struck the ball pretty well this week, and it's encouraging that playing the majors I'm striking the ball better than probably I ever have. I'll spend a little more time on putting and try to get that dialed in."

Miguel Angel Jimenez (-1) on his challenge: "It was very satisfying. That was the goal, no? Just to make the cut on Friday and then hope to jump up as much as possible. It was a tough day today there. It's not easy. Because you have to look at the wind. But I'm hitting the ball very solid. I hit it very solid from the tee to greens all the week."
