Manchester United could offer Federico Macheda a five-year deal when he turns 18 in August according to this agent.
The Italian striker has made a major impact off the bench in the last two weeks scoring in his first two Premier League matches.
"When he's 18 we'll talk again. I think Manchester will ask us to sign a five-year deal and I think that would be logical because it makes no sense to lose a lad at 21," agent Giovanni Bia told Italy's Sky TV. "We haven't talked about figures."
Macheda scored late winners in a 3-2 home win over Aston Villa and Saturday's 2-1 victory at Sunderland.

I'm not a ManU fan, but I hope Macheda goes on to do well, cause I'm a huge fan of Italian football. Looking forward to ACMilan in the UCL next season.
Sir Steven Jones (comment 56)
KIKO seems to have scored more prem goals than el zhar and n'gog
ha ha Mr Substitute man, you are just wasting your time, don't let the dumb Man U fans or the cheap goals you scored make you think you are hot now.
if he stays with man united then he will become a great player. this kids one to watch out 4.

"you are all clueless muppets, this tube scores 2 goals and you all think he is some kind of great player, just shows the mentality of you muppets, does anyone from manchester even have an education you bunch of fools"
Well I come from Manchester and support United (*waits for "clever" comment*) and am obviously better educated than you as I understand the use of capital letters and basic grammar, you spoon!
i'm glad he's italian. the new totti
Its fantstaic to see such a great young play making all the headlines for the right reason. I must admit that as a Utd fan I did'nt know much about him before the Villa game. But now the World & I know alot more. It sad but to already see so many Utd haters already jumpin on his case already. How sad is that? Funny it seems just to be from teams fans that hate Utd fans love for there club. How many Man utd Fans called for Fergie's to be sacked when we lost 2 match's? Very few. How many liverpool fans called for Rafa's head when they lost the big lead they had in the league? Most of them. Funny Rafa did'nt sign his contract till after they bet Utd. Prob cause there was no contract left to sign it they had of lost. Alot of those td Haters that cant wait for Fergie to retire. Dream on. He will be pulling the strings for many years to come once when he leaves the bench. Utd 4 life.
was rossi of man u nt a italian (nw at villerreal)? comment 72??
Lat italian in th epremiership was Guiseppi Rossi another United product...
GREAT NEWS.
All those italians you mentioned played in the EPL over a decade ago,so please get over.which italian has ever signed to EPL since the year 2000,Macheda will go
It seems to me that any team in any league in any country would like to offer a player who cost so.d all a good contract if A. he his good enough and B. scores hatricks for the reserves and C. comes off the bench in his first matches for the 1st team and scores. Why is it that this only attracts critics when its Man U ? Seems to me that you LFC fans should worry less about Man U and more about your own. Come on you Shots (Phoenix from the flames)
good
macheda the wonder boy, great performance, keep it up, dont relent, the future is yours, even if critics think otherwise, your performance is superb. Porto Uhmmmm! BEWARE!!!!!!! MAN U 4 LIFE
zola, vialli, cudicini, ravanelli, all italian all played in epl, it can be done so please stop talking nonsense.
Heve you ever seen an italian playing in EPL?,that guy will vanish to the Milans,Juventus or Roma, don't heap praises on him yet,he has to stand the test of time, unless you want to spoil him
just got to say how bitter non man utd fans are, you comment more about united than your own teams. Macheda was always going to get a contract from united because he was good enough thats why he was on the bench. He might just get a little bit more on his contract now because of his contributions to this season, as were going for THREE more trophies. So eat arse you bitter, bitter people!!!
Sirstevejones15: "does anyone in Manchester even have an education?" Surely that comment just goes to show how poorly educated you are.... Manchester has some of the finest Universities in the UK and for you to dismiss an entire City because you don't like one of their football teams shows that you are ignorant and small-minded. Try again...
Macheda is the best young player in Manchester United....so it's a good choice the contract
I won't be surprised if Manchester turns into an Italian colony (just like Liverpool has turned into a Spanish one) once Ferguson leaves and is replaced by (cabbage man) Capello.
