The Italian base of Russian cycling team Katusha has been raided by police who took away clinical records of five riders.

One of the five no longer rides for the outfit.

Katusha said in a statement that they offered their "total collaboration".

Italian police have been carrying out several probes into doping in cycling over recent months and this week the head of the Italian Olympic Committee said he was fed up with the scourge within the sport.
