St Mirren have released Alan Reid and Stewart Kean, but Garry Brady and Stephen O'Donnell have the option of one-year extensions.Manager Gus MacPherson said: "That is most of the contract situations determined but we hope to have something to report about the other two or three that are still outstanding pretty soon."
The Love Street boss dismissed rumours he was trying to sign Celtic reserve striker Paul McGowan, claiming he could not afford him.
But he is awaiting news on genuine signing targets, including Inverness striker Dennis Wyness.
MacPherson told the club's website: "We've still heard nothing back from Dennis Wyness' representatives, but we are at the same stage with one or two other player enquiries so it is part of the procedure."
Meanwhile, the Saints boss is in the dark over reported interest in midfielder Andy Dorman from Plymouth and Bolton.
"If anyone from Bolton or Plymouth was at the game on Saturday I knew nothing about it," he added.
"Andy Dorman is a major part of our plans for next season."
