Swindon manager Maurice Malpas is on the look-out for Championship-standard players as he looks to strengthen his side this summer. The Robins chief has been searching for new talent in Scotland recently to help in a push for promotion next season, but Malpas will not be rushed into any decisions.
He said: "We've made approaches for several players.
"For example I was in Glasgow on Tuesday to speak to an agent who has indicated his client would rather play in the Championship than League One next season. But we are aiming high as we want players who could hold their own in the next league up.
"It's the ambition we have, we want players who we think can take the club forward rather than just being content with staying in League One.
"I don't want to sign players for the sake of it, so I would like to think our fans can be patient."
