Scunthorpe United winger Ian Morris has been forced to withdraw from the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad with a foot injury.The 21-year-old had been included in Don Givens' squad for the Intercontinental Cup in Malaysia this week, but has pulled out due to the injury.

Morris has undergone surgery this week to resolve the problem in time to rejoin the Iron squad in time for pre-season training.

Givens' young Irish side are scheduled to play Iraq, hosts Malaysia and Nigeria in the space of four days.
