Preston North End defender Sean St Ledger believes the club have a bright future ahead despite two disappointing campaigns. The Lilywhites struggled for most of the season to eventually finish 15th and the 23-year-old is certain the club will begin to repay the fans for the faith they have shown.
He told the club's official website: "There's a lot of confidence around the place and hopes are high that we will do well next season.
"I think everybody has seen that we have done well in the second part of the season - we've beaten some good teams at Deepdale - and the future looks bright.
"It has been difficult for Preston fans because they have seen so much success over the last few years and it hasn't happened for us in the last two seasons.
"By continuing to stick with us does show a lot of loyalty and hopefully we can repay them."
