Grimsby have started talks with several summer transfer targets - but assistant manager Stuart Watkiss has warned fans to be patient.Mariners boss Alan Buckley revealed he was looking to make changes during the close season after his side lost all of their last eight matches, including the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.
Watkiss told the club's official website: "It is slow, it is frustrating. We've got a list of players, we've spoken to players, we've spoken to agents.
"Players will want to give themselves as long as they possibly can, to see how many different clubs are in for them.
"They don't want to commit at such an early stage. All we can do is keep speaking to the players, speaking to the agents. It's that time of year when you have to be patient."
