West Brom are set to boost their goalkeeping options by signing Denmark international Jesper Christiansen.

According to Danish daily newspaper Ekstra Bladet, FC Copenhagen keeper Christiansen will join the Baggies for their return to the Premier League.

A clause in Christiansen's contract - recently extended to 2012 - allows him to leave if another club offers £1 million.

Christiansen said: "Right now I am focusing on my work in FCK. I have always said that I would only move abroad again if a club better than FCK made an offer.

"I will wait and see if anything happens after this season."

The 30-year-old has played in Britain before, having spent the 2000/01 season at Rangers, though he only made three appearances before returning to Denmark with Vejle.

His arrival would significantly bolster manager Tony Mowbray's options, and he would compete for the number one jersey with veteran shot-stopper Dean Kiely.
