Pro Bowl linebacker Jason Taylor has signed with the Miami Dolphins, returning to South Florida after one injury-hit season with the Washington Redskins.

Taylor, who spent his first 11 NFL seasons in Miami before being traded to Washington, holds numerous Dolphins records including sacks (117), fumble returns for touchdowns (5), defensive touchdowns (8) and interceptions by a defensive lineman (7).

A six-time Pro Bowler and 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Taylor wore out his welcome in Miami when his appearance on the popular television show Dancing With the Stars strained his relationship with Dolphins chief Bill Parcells.

Parcells didn't feel he was getting the commitment he wanted from Taylor and shipped the 34-year-old linebacker to the Redskins last July for a pair of draft picks.

Slowed by injuries, Taylor never displayed his Pro Bowl form in Washington and according to media reports accepted less money to return to Miami for family reasons.
