Hibernian midfielder Lewis Stevenson believes Rangers were denied a perfectly good goal in Wednesday night's Clydesdale Bank Premier League draw at Easter Road.
Hibs were leading 1-0 when Nacho Novo claimed his shot had crossed the line before being cleared by Ross Chisholm, but assistant referee Martin Cryans disagreed. Novo later equalised but Rangers were left seething at the decision.
Stevenson told the Evening Times: "From the angle I was looking at it, from inside the penalty box, I thought it was in. Chis did really well to get it away, but I thought it was a goal."
Novo claimed Stevenson is not the only Hibs player to believe a goal should have been given.
He said: "The ball was definitely in - even their players told me that.
"They admitted the ball was over the line themselves but there's nothing else you can say. Sometimes things go against you, but you just need to keep going."

cadettes goal against th ugleez a few years back?linesman had a scotlands shame top on under his black top when he chopt it off..no doubt paul and gary dont recall that one?
Not since Willie Miller has a player refereed a scottish game, so if the ref never awarded a goal, deal with it!
3/4 of the ball was over the line. 1/4 was not. Result? No goal. Simples!
Coz yer a Manto , and we know yer lying .
The Huns denied a dodgy goal , who'da thunk it . Strange days indeed .
Its PJG Architectural Ltd and were partners with the mc nair group. Why all the god damn questions. Enough said.

What you mumbling about now. I was at the game. Same old table as normal.
Wanna bet windae licker? All proceeds to charity or will ur plane not make it on time.........
The whole ball was over plus more, also look at the pics in the papers. Not one person in papers and tv said it wasnt a goal. Even the hibs players said it was a goal so come on stop the petty talk. Who cares, the manky mob will get beat by hibs and then hearts.
Inver....agree m8 and how Weir can say it was over from his eye line view is beyond me
have to say i watch the replays and never once saw the whole ball over the line, sorry, but the ref and linesman got it spot on from what i seen.
