United proving tough to beat for Bruce

Thu 14 May, 01:34 PM

Wigan manager Steve Bruce admits he is struggling to get one over on his former club Manchester United.

Things were looking good for the Latics at half-time on Wednesday night, with Hugo Rodallega`s goal giving them a slender advantage.

But second-half goals from Carlos Tevez and Michael Carrick condemned Wigan to a ninth defeat in nine meetings with United.

"I think I will just give up now," Bruce smiled ruefully. "At half-time we had a chance and were doing really well. But this is what happens against United."
