Sat 14 Jun, 12:00 PM

Leeds midfielder Andrew Hughes would have preferred to face Chester at Elland Road after United were drawn away to the side in the Carling Cup.United will make their first ever trip to City's Deva Stadium in the Carling Cup first round in the week commencing August 11.

Hughes told the club's official website: "Obviously it is a great draw for Chester because they are at home, and you always want a home tie.

"But I have been there a few times with previous clubs I have been at and it is a cracking little stadium to play at.

"It should be a good game for Chester, and for us because it will give the manager a chance to have an early look at his squad."
