Rochdale forward Kallum Higginbotham is looking forward to the prospect of facing his former club Oldham in the Carling Cup first round.Higginbotham, who will celebrate his 19th birthday on Sunday, started his career with Oldham in the youth academy at Boundary Park.
The teenager is relishing the opportunity to renew some old acquaintances when the two sides meet in the week commencing August 11.
"It is a great draw. I still have some good mates from my time there and two of my former youth-team players, Dean Smalley and Lewis Alessandra, are first-team regulars now so it will be nice to come up against them," Higginbotham told Rochdale's official website.
"It will also be great to see Kelvin Lomax who was on loan here and that I also knew from my time at Oldham."
