Grimsby Town assistant manager Stuart Watkiss is pleased the Mariners were handed a home tie in the first round of the Carling Cup.Town will face League One side Tranmere at Blundell Park in the week commencing August 11.
"That is the important thing in cup draws - it is a cliche but you always want a home draw," said Watkiss.
"It is a good one for us against a decent team and it will be a test for our lads against Tranmere.
"Ronnie Moore is a respected manager at this level and any team of his will be well-organised."
